Verdicchio
A little piece of land in the heart of the Marche Region, nestled among hills and small villages in the provinces of Ancona and Macerata, represents the habitat of Verdicchio, a vine naturalized for centuries with the geomorphological and microclimatic conditions of our territory, which produces a unique, unrepeatable wine.
The clay and limestone soils, the good exposure and the cool air currents that rising from the sea to the valleys, guarantee important temperature ranges between day and night, have allowed the production of this unique wine since the 15th century.
It is considered by most as the king of Italian white wines thanks to its characteristics of great versatility and above all great longevity.
Il Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi
Always associated with plurality, the lands of the “Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi” reflect the character, history and culture of the territory which inevitably converge in the different expressions of a unique Verdicchio.
Nei nostri “terroir” di più antica tradizione il Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi si fregia dell’appellativo Classico. La D.O.C. prevede anche le tipologie Classico Superiore, Classico Riserva, Passito e Spumante.
Con la tipologia “Castelli di Jesi Verdicchio Riserva Classico” che prevede un periodo d’invecchiamento obbligatorio di almeno 18 mesi di cui almeno 6 in bottiglia e che ha ottenuto il prestigioso riconoscimento a D.O.C.G. il Verdicchio si consacra tra i grandi vini bianchi italiani.
